After the world war II, many people, which included most African Americans, wanted U.S to segragate.Rosa Parks was in fact the person that sparked a new era in the civil rights movement, after being arrested for not giving her seat up to a white man she was taken to jail then later let free. a man named Nixon used her case to challange the bus segregate. A boycott was made for the bus and soon after the bus was desegregated. The court passed a new law "separate but equal" that desdegregated buses, trains, schools, restaurants pools, parks, and other public things. African Americans pushed to make everywhere equal they conducted sit-ins to segregated restaurants. Dr.. Martin Luther King was one of the leaders to this desegragation he believe that they should get the same rights but they would protest in a nonviolet way, he made many changes during his time and schools were desegregated. Malcolm X leader of The Black Panthers wanted to get freedom to but instead of waiting for it to be given he was forced to get it. They werent going to wait for it no more and after in 1988 they get their freedom.
